2010 - 2011 Farm Development
Our sustainable vision continues with the development of our gravity feed drip irrigation system. Our farm topography gives us almost 200' of fall. Our irrigation water comes from above and will not only allow us to develop the gravity system but a hydro electric generating system as well.
Due to irrigation system development delays we have determined that the system construction will best serve us to begin after our 2010 harvest. So due to these delays we have chosen to delay the planting of the remaining 19 acres until spring of 2011. This will allow us to focus on and manage the planted 15 acres, propagate other varieties for future planting, fabricate our picking machine, improve our drying system and secure a pelletizing machine and vacuum packaging equipment for harvest 2011.
